Our Curriculum

Mountain Peak and Glacier Peak Preschool use the Creative Curriculum for their main curriculum.  In addition to that, our learning is mostly guided by the needs of the children.  We use the Montana Early Learning Standards to track development and keep data on our children to track mastery of skills.  As we choose a unit of study, children's interests and questions help guide the direction of our play-based study.   Through this style of play based inquiry we ask questions, explore our ideas, solve problems, and learn.  Our literacy instruction is guided by the Scine of Reading and driven by the goal of exposing your child to early literacy skills that will help them be ready for Kindergarten.  Literacy and Math skills are woven into all aspects of our curriculum.
